These cups are inspired by prehistoric Mesopotamian and Moche figurative pottery traditions, as well as the prevalent contemporary trend of Etsy’s “boob mug” variations in North America. My take on these vessels was to play with Farsi expression of “Doodool Tala” literally translated as “golden penis” that connotes a subtle (or not so subtle) Iranian gender hierarchy.

- Note that most of my works are not light weight, like T-shirts or jewelry. They’re heavy/fragile ceramics and require a lot of padding materials for safe shipping. This cost in addition to my labor and other expenses are built into the product.
