I began my journey into the art world at age 11, in Tehran, Iran. I started taking semiprivate classes at a wonderful young woman's house with my best friend at the time. We loved walking around the neighborhood with our canvas in our hand, and paint on our clothes. At 11, it made us the coolest kids around! When I moved to the United States, I knew I had to continue with art. I wasn't familiar with 3D art, until I took my first jewelry design/metal arts class at California State University of Long Beach. The moment I made my first ring, I knew it was where I wanted to be. I completed my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Metals and Jewelry from there. My work is inspired by the whimsical mysteries of life, our stories, memories, and dreams. I love creating work that tells a tale, and carries a message, pieces that like a book, will take you to another world, make you think, and touch your soul. I like to take from personal memories, poetry and my heritage and put them into works that I create. Each jewelry piece is designed and handcrafted by me.
