I was familiar with the world of jewelry and gems from the early age as my mother was the first female diamond engraver at the time in Iran. What I remember from my childhood is my mom's talented hands weaving chains, making shapes, sketching fresh designs for gold and polishing the stones and are still very much a live in my head.
As I got accepted into the computer engineering program, I unwillingly, moved away from the artistic environment around me for a few years, but immediately upon graduation, I decided to continue my parents path which was also my true passion with a modern twist. I entered in the colorful world of gems and jewelry with Persian calligraphy as I wanted to also keep the Persian influence alive in my work. The first word I crafted was "Iran" and the rest is history.
I had several exhibitions worldwide which proved to be very successful. My wish is to keep my fans interested in my work with bringing fresh new designs to the table. Some percentage of my sales has been and still being donated to the cancer patients of the non-profit Behnam Daheshpoor organization, hoping to be make a change, even small.
