I created Gol Design in reference to my family name, Golestani... I grew up in Switzerland and studied anthropology and political science. However, I always enjoyed painting and drawing. Few years ago, I started to make my own earrings. After having tried to make them out of beverage cartons, I found out that plastic bottle could be a very interesting material. I also liked the idea of recycling plastic which invades our world and life. Underneath it all, I realized that in Europe, lots of people were still seeing Iran as a place where colour and originality did not have a proper place. My colourful creations, were an attempt to prove the opposite.
