I was always fascinated by the massive dimension and colors of the Domes in Islamic architecture. Their balloon shapes induce lightness and weightlessness but they are actually attached to the ground.
In these series of works my inspiration comes from the contrast between modern and old architecture that create a surreal landscape in many cities of Iran.
