Founded in New York City in 2011, our primary goal at Pardis for Children (501[c][3] non-profit organization) is to build a strong community for the children of Iranian heritage and to instill love, knowledge and appreciation of Persian culture and language in them. Pardis for Children is a fun and loving environment where children come together to learn about the Persian language and culture, hear the music and melodies of Iran, and interact with other Iranian American children. We have adapted a hybrid of progressive teaching philosophies and methods in early childhood education to introduce the Persian culture and language in a fun, creative and stimulating way. The children learn Persian vocabulary and different aspects of the culture through discovery, art, music, play and storytelling. In the past few years, Pardis for Children has also collaborated with various museums and cultural institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Guggenheim, the Asia Society and etc. to schedule regular social and cultural events, tours, screenings and workshops for children and their families. As part of its mission, Pardis is in the process of developing original content including Music CD, Audiobooks, Flashcards and Storybooks for bilingual and multilingual children of Iranian heritage. Pardis published its first educational material “the Story of Norouz” in March 2015 and few months later released a children music album “Songs of Pardis”!
