Green Dimension from the "Veils" series

"Green Dimension" is a sculptural piece that includes a body covered by a white fabric called
"Chador." The head is adorned with a crotched veil made with Hem Yarn and Willow Tree
Spikes.
It represents a woman who immigrated and lived in a free, non-Islamic country but is still
challenged by the obstacles that limited her freedom. The chador and the veil represent the
limited freedom she had in her country and the ones she still has to have as another layer. I
take this woman out to a green space which reminds her of the place she has lots of memories.
She still grows roots in her land while this separation and all the limitations enforced by law
became critical for her. She lives in her realm of nostalgia mentally to the point of this
remembrance and this hope of return.
