Sarv Tree(Cypress), the Iranian symbol of freedom, immortality, truthfulness, uprightness and resistance against dark powers of nature, has played a very important role in the Zoroastrian art and culture for over 2 millenniums.
Since the tree is green all year long, even in the winter, ancient Iranians started praising it for its strength and immortality and connected it with the god of Sun, Mithra, whose birthday is on winter solstice (Yalda) when the days start to become longer and warmer. Therefore the tree is also known as Mithra's Tree, or Yalda Tree.
This necklace is inspired by the Sarv in Iranian miniature, and is made of waxed thread, Indian beads and Mexican Obsidian. The pendant dimension is 9cm X 7cm.
Its cord is adjustable and can be worn in 4 diffenet sizes (40cm, 48cm, 56cm and 64cm) and comes with a string of beads which can be attached to it in different ways,
so that based on what you wear, you can change your necklace and match it with your style. Just go creative and see what you can do with it ;)
The waxed thread is extremely resistant, won't lose color and won't break for years.
Unfortunately, the gemstone has a small chip on it, because it fell off my hand while working on it. It's not really noticeable but you can see it when the stone is lit directly. Fortunately(for you) this calls for a good discount! ;D
