Celebrate your ancient Persian heritage. This pendant representing a king defeating a lion was made in Iran and is part of a series I have.
The motifs are adapted from reliefs at Persepolis (Takht-e Jamshid), dating back to Achaemenian times. (550-330 BCE).
The relief of a king defeating a lion appears in the Throne Room of the Apadana.

This 18 " beaded strand necklace is made with Aghan hand cut beads of carnelian and Afghan jade, Afghan made turquoise and lapis lazuli colored glass seed beads, and red aventurine cube beads. The silver accents are sterling silver and silver over resin. The findings are sterling silver.
