Do you remember 'Gholam'?
He was an assistant in a carpet shop in Grand Bazar who would dress as 'Haji Firooz' every Persian New Year to earn extra money.
He is a handmade Persian doll by Nogol. He lives with his mother and he is madly in love with 'Golabetoun' (Mash Mammad's daughter). Right now he is wearing his best suits (he calls it 'Polo khori suits' which means suits for eating rice, meaning his best, formal suits).
He bought a box of fresh cake and a bouquet of flower, going to pick up his 'Naneh' (means mother but in a very non-educated way), to go to Mash Mammad's house for 'Khastegari' (meaning asking for the hand of his daughter's in marriage).
Most of time people call him 'Gholam Javad' (because of his bad taste) but he thinks opposite. (Please note that Gholam is coing to you without the sweets.)
Please stay tuned for 'Naneye Gholam'...
