Story

While working as an art director, photographer, and concept-maker, the concept of using ancient Persian motifs and designs on clothing as a far and expansive reaching media, first struck me in early 2007. After the screening of the dim witted and twisted movie 300, I became more determined to follow and materialize the idea. The cruel disinformation about our precious cultural heritage and independent Persian entity and history, and lack of knowledge and sensitivity among the Iranian youth, furthermore added to my resolve in materializing my project. At the core of my styles, I started using the most obvious Persian motifs and symbols, which are the carvings on stone pillars and walls of Persepolis and then moved on to famous Iranian figures, to create modern and yet recognizable designs that are printed on clothing.
